Not sure where I should post this...can anyone tell me how to improve my appetite and put my weight back on!

Don't do well with dairy so it is difficult.  I use non-dairy nutritional drinks and they help...but not enough!

By mid afternoon, I just don't want to eat...anything!

Help...

I feel your pain. Food is too much work and can't find much that I want to eat.

Good luck. Maybe, maybe, maybe, see your MD. MD's don't know much about this, IMO.

Have you checked with a doctor to be sure there isn't a medical reason for the weight loss, @Zhills?

@Zhills

We could list all kinds of foods that are high caloric, probably high fat & sodium too, so they may not be good for your health.

Suggestions to talk to your doc is probably the best thing.  They would know if you have specific needs and there also may be an underlying issue as mentioned.

Just the thought of eating unlimited pizza, ice cream etc is pretty fun though lol.

Yes, would be nice but some have issues with cholesterol. Not thyroid.

That's why I said she should see her doc.  The excess pizza & ice cream was a joke.

@Zhills   If you are "under weight," your doctor will/should recommend OTC pills that will increase your appetite.  There are plenty of them out there.  Go to your local vitamin store and/or pharmacy & ask for pills that will increase your appetite.

I am 5'6 120 lbs soaking wet.  The most I've ever weighed was 130 lbs - pregnant.  I love food, love to eat & almost nothing is off limits (I draw the line at insects).

Per my doctor I have a high metabolism.  Also genes plays a part.  No "fat" genes on the maternal or paternal side of my family.

I also lift weights to stay toned.  Toned muscles will help you put on a pound or two.

@Zhills You need to talk to your doctor and also a nutritionist referred by your doc. Is there a medical reason for your weight loss?

This is something that needs professional attention.
