Need help, treating a feral cat with a resp. infection!!

Our male feral we call Pal is so very sick with a resp infection.I started putting enisyl-F in his food which is a feline supplement for the herpes virus which Buddy used to have and also giving it to Goldie so she hopefully will not catch it.He is so sick for 2 days didn't eat and I was going crazy. We tried everywhere to get medication for him and no one would help us.Lucikly his appetitie is back and he is eating really well and yesterday we got him an antibiotic from a shelter.I was wondering is there anything else I could to to help as his nose is running and he is so congested.I used to put baby nose drops in Buddys nose per the vet but Pal won't let me near him.Is there any medication thats safe or just hope the antibiotic kicks in.It breaks my heart to see him sick and I have been so depressed and crying. Now that he is eating and on an antibiotic i feel somewhat better.Life is so cruel sometimes and not to many care for feral cats. They didn't ask for this life. Its been pretty cool here in the evenings and I can't do anything or else get fined. I put a towel out on the bench for them to lay on.I said its for me to sit on the bench so the HOA gets off my back. Its been in the low 60's.Pal could use all the prayers he can get, thanks.
