My birthday was back in mid-May. Yesterday I get a card from a friend wishing me a happy belated birthday. I'm wondering what the heck is up with that. What do you think is an appropriate amount of time to send a belated birthday card, a week late maybe? Certainly not almost three months late. At 3+ months wouldn't you pick up the phone and call, and mention in the call "oh sorry I missed your birthday".
Anyway, her birthday just happens to be on Sunday. I'm wondering if her card to me wasn't a subtle reminder for me not to forget her birthday?
What's your opinion? Do you find this strange? I do plan on calling her tomorrow to wish her a happy birthday and would have regardless of whether or not I received her "belated" card.
