I didn't realize that gift card tins were only sold during the Christmas Holiday as I have been everywhere to try to find some as I have some birthdays coming up. Now, I need to get creative and need help Any suggestions? This would be for my DIL she is a school teacher. TIA

In our area, a large assortment of gift cards for various vendors (restaurants, theater chains, recreational attractions, specialty and department stores, and more) are sold in major grocery stores like Kroger and Publix year-round. You can stop by the gift card display (often located near the greeting card/party supply aisle), choose the card(s) you want, and pay for them along with your grocery order. Of course, you can also buy store-specific gift cards in places like Target, Kohl's, and other stores.

I can't imagine why you'd be having trouble finding gift cards year-round. They're available just about everywhere.

I didn't mean gift cards I mean the gift card tin to put it in. Sorry for not explaining it better.

Have you checked at Michaels or Dollar Tree stores? I know I've seen plastic ""storage"" containers (not tins) in both stores.

I have tucked them inside cute keepsake boxes, books. pretty coffee mugs wrapped in tissue and tied with a ribbon. There are also the greeting cards with slots for gift cards.

I would try craft stores and the Container Store. The CS has tin boxes in quite a few shapes and sizes. All you would need is a pretty bow.

If you've already purchased the cards, this will be a moot point, but how about dollar bill origami? I did this for a graduation...she loved it! There are tutorials online...just Google dollar bill origami. Easy, peasy!

Sometimes the stores that you purchase the cards from have their own tins. Nike has the most adorable (I know) little shoe boxes for their cards. Ask when you make your purchase.
