Need Help With Forum Signing Me In!

I am hoping a seasoned Forum family member can help me solve this  frustrating conundrum!🄰 The Forums have somehow been signing me in, although I had signed out! When I attempt go to sign on, I would already be signed in. I would sometimes see a prompt to prove you're not a robot. I would click it but it would not sign me in, so I tried MS Edge browser and it worked a few times but not today; it prompted me with the same, so I returned to Chrome. Can anyone share what causes this anomaly and how to prevent it?🄰 My computer software is up-to-date!

THANK you in advance for any suggestions!ā¤ļø

@SandySparkles.  I use Chrome and never have a problem.  I never sign out and stay signed in all day but usually have to sign in the first time I use the board daily.

Re: Need Help With Forum Signing Me In!

@SandySparkles,

Unfortunately, there are so many strange and annoying problems here that often just happen to one person. No ryhme or reason!

I still for months ever since the website had multiple problems for many, including signing in, have not been able to see pictures or who is @ too unless I am signed out! Then to post I have to be signed in.

I can see pictures on my phone but never post from there-just too annoying and small.

I checked everything on my end-extensions, browser updates, java, everything under the sun. I read everything I could as to what might be the problem. Nothing helped.

I also emailed the social team and they said they would notify the IT dept; still the problem is still here. So frustrating.

They might say clear your cookies and browser at first. I will bet it has nothing to do with your computer, browser etc and not a problem on your end. You'll probably go crazy trying to figure it out. I hope though that yours does get fixed.

I have had that "prove your not a robot" a few times. I just ignore it because I think the QVC website is just acting weird again.

So I know this is not encouraging in any way, just know you are not alone with these weird problems.

The best explanation I read from google for me is that sometimes when a website updates or changes their software, (which QVC seems to do quite often), what happens is that some things are not compatible on our particular device or our hardware or software. But then why would it only be a problem for one especially if others using the same do not have that problem?!

I think of it as "you have entered the Twilight Zone."  Good luck!

I'm having the same issue using a tablet & Crome, it doesn't happen everytime I try to sign in but when it does it's annoying....robot prompt, multiple click the boxes, then Q sign in.

i am automatically signed out after periods of inactivity (maybe every two hours?) when i go to sign in again, my user name shows up and i then have to enter my password. i use the EDGE browser on my laptop and it has been like this forever. this probably doesnt help you, but just letting you know my experience.

[ Edited ]

My best advice as someone who has never had any of these issues in all the years I've been here, is to always make sure whatever device you are using is up to date.

You can set your device to auto update software or do it manually, but if you are not updated, certain commercial websites may not perform as they previously did.

I will also add that QVCs IT department cannot help with any of these issues.  The only exception would be if you see others post the same problem.  This happened a month or so ago when multiple people had the same exact issue, and that was a different story.

@on the bay , you got the correct response from google.  The answer to your question is that most people have their device(s) set to auto update software.  There is no hardware update unless you get a new device.

 There are also so many different phones, tablets, PCs out there that unless you are using the exact same device and are at the same exact update (ie iOS 18.1) as someone else, no one will have the same problem.

Re: Need Help With Forum Signing Me In!

@Tori3569,

I do have automatic updates on my chromebook which I love. QVC is the only website that seems to not like me lol! I've just gotten used to my continual problem and would be very surprised and happy if it changes.

I mean, who knows with all the tech changes here why these things happen.

I need to have my computer serviced soon, so I will ask the tech for his thoughts!šŸ™‚

THANK you for sharing this evening!!ā¤ļø
