A bottle of wine from the year they were married. An expensive bottle of champagne they can celebrate privately with.  Most folks I know have enough "stuff" after 25 yrs.

I bought some relatives celebrating a big anniversary a pair of Waterford champagne flutes with a gift card for a bottle of champagne.

They took a romantic photo toasting each other with the glasses.

I bought the set from Shop HQ (very good price for two!) and had it shipped directly to them.

Twenty-five years is great--CONGRATS to them!

@coffee drinker - Do they like wine?

@mspatmac recommended wine from the year they were married. I'm sitting here on the forums and The Szish List is on. They just showed a wine and cheese tote (K404474) that comes with a cutting board, cheese knife, and corkscrew. It has room for 3 bottles. You could get that special bottle and put that inside. They would be able to take this on vacation, on a picnic, etc. And they would always think of you.

There are lots of good ideas here. I'm sure they will be happy with whatever you decide!  Smiley Happy

Thank you all for such great suggestions.  I haven't decided anything yet, but would love to be on any of your gift lists!!!

Perhaps a photographic book of where they were married (ie cathedral, island, etc). I have one that was pretty pricey since it was a limited run but I'm so glad I have it!

@coffee drinker  I don't know where you live, but could you give them a tree or perennial or shrub they could plant and enjoy year after year?

@PA Mom-mom   I like this one very much.

I was looking for some anniversary gifts for my relatives.  I found some really cute and unique ones on Etsy.  There are some personalized wooden carving boards, Christmas ornaments, beautiful 3D cards, or personalized mugs...etc.  I like buying things from Etsy to support artists and the products are unique.

Sounds like tchotchke type gifts.

25th is a milestone.  Guess I'm the only one that looks up traditional gifts which is sterling silver.

If you like the idea of a picture, a SS frame would be nice.  I especially like ones that have the option to be hung on the wall as tabletop space can become scarce for some.
