Nebraska Tornado

[ Edited ]

Watching storm chasers and just saw this in Nebraska - yikes! Been on the ground about 30 minutes, but this one looks like it's thankfully over farmground. Stay safe in you're in the area. One chaser had a cornstalk pierce his arm when he left his window down and had his arm hanging out:

Hard to see in this screen grab but there's even a rainbow peeking out at the bottom left:

We've been watching 'Max Velocity'...

We live in Lincoln, so keeping an eye out. We probably won't get anything here tonight, but chances are much higher for us tomorrow night.

@Susan Louise  Be careful tomorrow! I thought it didn't look like there was any houses, etc. damaged on the one I watched tonight, as thankfully it stayed over bare land. But I did see some electric lines down.

The chasers were ecstatic to watch tonight and said some things like "tornado of the century" because they got to watch it for such a long time. I watch MV too, and also watched Freddy McKinney who was loving life when he was surrounded by a 'nado. LOL. I didn't see Reed Timmer who will be kicking himself for missing a good one.

Everyone stay safe aand condolences for those who lost there lives in the terrible flooding in WV. Kentucky was hit very hard, too. Not sure if lives were lost there.
