National Mall ~ Reflecting Pool ...

finally has reopened after over two years of ugly, but most necessary repair. The deadline was set August 31st, and I am proud to say that a) they met the dealine and b) it looks better than ever. Surrounding the reflecting Pool are walkways, so it is good for parents with strollers, or what I fear, bikers... Since the lighting too has been improved, it will be really worth your while to see it after dark, if you are planning to visit DC any time soon.

Just, in case you were here during this time, the pain is finally over and we're so happy!! The only thing I still miss are the duckies or what we had lots of over the past 5 years, are Canadian geese...
