🌭7/17 = Today is National Hot Dog Day!🌭
Lots of different types of hot dogs out there.
But here’s an alternative to parlay with healthy eating:
🌿Vegan Carrot Dogs!💚
(ps....we ALL know hot dogs are all about the toppings!)

LOL!!! A carrot dog can't take the place of a hot dog.
I like brats over a hot dog. If I'm going to eat a hot dog I want a pretzel dog like DH makes.
Bought a pack of Nathan's so DH can make some. They freeze well so they last for a while.
If I'm going to eat a carrot it will be an organic carrot. YUM!!! So good.
DH made steakburgers & brats on the grill last night.

That's not a hot dog.
I wish people that eat vegan would stop calling the vegan version by the real name.

Get ready for a wave of new vegan 'meat' things coming down the pike soon. The trend is off and running, like it or not. The guy who did the 'Impossible Burger' for Burger King is launching his new product line with all-vegan ingredients this fall to be sold in grocery stores. Several other companies are already in the stores, for example Beyond Meat and MorningStar to name a few.

The EU is going to ban using the word burger to sell a veggie burger. They're might call it a disc. They also can't use the words steak or sausage when describing veggie/vegan products.

Ugh! No. Just No.

It sounds interesting. I'd try one - if someone else made it. Meanwhile, thank you for a heads-up about National Hot Dog Day. A number of places have hot dog promotions today. For example, Philly Pretzel Factory has pretzel dogs for only $1.00.

I don't know how full you could get eating one carrot on a bun! LOL

I would try a vegan dog. I've tried other vegan 'meat' things before so why not a fake hot dog? It might taste good.

It’s exciting!
I remember waaaay back in the early 90’s, a new innovative product
called ‘Garden Burger’ was a thing (!). 🙃 Could only get at
Whole Foods, who was only selling powdered soy milk.
Things were changing, but it just seems like overnight, actually
last 5yrs, the vegan movement has exploded.
It’s a ‘good/bad’ thing, tho. But it’s amazing how the animal
industries are really feeling the impact of all these PB-based products.
But Carrot Dogs could’ve been made decades ago. Nothing new.
But with product changes comes creative changes, as well.
People are very creative with food & tastes! New frontier!
