Maybe the Inquirer info is from the  despicable person who stole her medical records

NOT defending the despicable person, but aren't you surprised someone hasn't come out with it yet?

Kate is a public person, and trying to keep something like this private is really a tough thing to attempt.  Right now, anything about her is front page news.

I bet every person who works in that hospital has been approached by some entity trying to get the information.  I wonder what they were willing to pay.

I would be surprised if anyone can confirm where she is.  Someone who has actually seen her.

It is not HIPPA, it is HIPAA.  It is only valid in the USA.

It among other things, protects health information for patients and applies to Health Care providers, health care clearing houses for information submitted electronically.

It is a serious violation here in the US.  I had to go to classes to learn about it.  I was privy to a ton of personal health info when I was working.

I have noticed many violations in doctor's offices and hospitals.  Many providers do not take your privacy seriously.

Even calling you by your complete given name in the waiting room is a violation.  I see this happening way too often.

Yes, it is a serious matter.  Wasn't it a hospital employee who sold to a media outlet (I can't remember which one) the information as to the kind of cancer that Farrah Fawcett had?  I may be mis-remembering.

I sure hope Kate wins this battle.

That mag is kind of outdated now.  It's become a parody of itself.  Most of the reporting  was accurate then, while everybody assured each other it was fake.  The lure of cash money could make people talk. And they did.

As I recall, National Enquirer was the first magazine to print that King Charles and Princess Kate had cancer. They even stated what type of cancer. Many people denied it but it turned out to be true.  So, I wouldn't disregard this information.

When TMZ says it, might be credible information.  I am not sure how they are always on top of things.  They must have people everywhere.  I remember when Michael Jackson was reported dead.  It was TMZ who reported it first.

When TMZ started (by Harvey Levin, an attorney) he was very aggressive with sources who produced good information.

He also employed some very good fact-checkers, so no one got sued.

I don't know if Harvey still runs this media company, but he also knew a lot of people and paid well.

@Tinkrbl44I used to never watch TMZ, but in the past few weeks, for some reason I have been watching the show daily and I must say they are so, so good at getting the scoops and having reliable information. Many times, the celebrities themselves will talk with them via zoom and give their side of the story on a variety of topics.

Harvey and Charles (and others that co-host with him) always tell how they got their information and are quick to say if something isn't confirmed yet, but that the evidence appears to moving in the direction of what they are talking about.

I feel like I learn a lot from listening to them. And their reasoning seems solid when they come to a conclusion that is usually verified soon after they "broke the story." Their hour program goes so fast because they cover many stories.

How to they do it? They pay for stories or to cover them up. So says the person in charge of this practice.

I hope not. But it was my first thought when they said abdominal surgery with such a lengthy healing period and hospital stay. Ovarian cancer attacks women so young. It makes me cry. I am 76 and lost so many women friends to this horrible disease. One was 25 years old this was back in 1970. It was shocking. And no treatments to speak of. I hope this isn't true, and if it is May she be blessed with a healing.  In a way she is no different than thousands of women suffering from all walks of life. Some with no money or access to decent, if any medical care. Bless her
