It's a tacky tv show, so the story has lost all credibility whether the bones are Natalee's or not.  Her father is an entertainer now, using his child's death to make some bucks.  Perhaps the bones are hers, perhaps not.  She's dead, we all know that.  We all know who killed her.  This isn't even a matter of closure or justice for the family.  Joran will never pay a price for killing her because the case was bungled from day one...but at least he is in prison for another murder.

@chrystaltree  I disagree.  Even if we all believe Natalee is dead the family wants to give her a proper burial.  This is important for those grieving her death.  So yes, some closure to finally know that there dear daughter is indeed deceased.  There were some unfounded theories about s*x traffic people being involved.

Joran may not serve a day in jail for Natalee but that is yet to be determined; justice isn't just about finding her remains; justice can include the chance for Joran to still be tried.  Therefore, some justice could come out of this newest discovery.

Even if the remains are Natalie's, there still would be no way of determining the cause of death after all this time and no way to directly connect Joran and Aruba wouldn't even try because it would cost to much for losing cause.  Don't forget part of the problem was that their judicial system is very much different from our own.  It makes for nice tv series for those enjoy this type of thing and will all the OJ shows and Jon Benet shows, there is big audience for that type of entertainement.  That's all it is now, entertainment.

I don't know she's dead, and I'm also not entirely convinced Joran was acting alone.

@chrystaltree

Since you aren't a forensic pathologist as far as I know, and since Dr. Baden is a famous one with years of experience and had been recognized as an expert in the field, I'm going to go with what Dr. Baden has said.

“It could be her remains, the definitive thing would be doing the DNA tests,” Dr. Michael Baden, former New York City chief medical examiner, told Fox News on Friday. Baden said initial analysis would have told forensics experts whether the remains match in terms of gender, age group, height, and weight, while the further DNA tests would confirm identity.

And if the remains prove to be those of Holloway, who was 18 when she disappeared, they could give indications of how she died – and whether she was murdered. “Assuming it’s human,” Baden said of the remains, “we would know immediately. It [also] depends on which bones they have,"

Source:  Heard Dr. Baden himself on Foxnews (from the horse's mouth); the article is on the FN website.

Re: Natalee Holloway: Preliminary Report/Bones

A young woman went missing and is presumed dead.  Her parents want answers.  I hope they find peace and closure to this nightmare!!!

Everything else is just speculation at this point.  God forbid any one of us would be in their places.  For the sake of the family, we should all wait for the results.
