You must visit Opryland Hotel, magnificent!!!

The Gaylord opryland hotel use to be a great hotel but I found it to be going downhill since Marriott took over. Even the bed linens were cheap. What a shame!!

You could be right, I have not been there in a while, when I was there I called it the 8th Wonder of the World!!!

On a visit there, several of the employees told me how bad it has been for them since Marriott took over management of this hotel. They told me the retail spaces now have been outsourced, jobs cut all over, and the restaurants they said, would be next. The gardens were still beautiful and wondrous to look at and take pictures. Just stating what I was told when I was there. The housekeeper of our room said that Marriott brought in cheaper made sheets and were going to outsource that department also.

DH and I almost booked our stay there. The reviews are awesome for the place except that most say they will "fee" you to death there. We chose to book right downtown though rather than this far out.

I have relatives who stayed there over x-mas last year and loved it. Everyone I know who has been to Nashville has said this is a must see place.

Antique Archaeology has a store there. It's Mike and Frank from American Pickers. It's a great place to visit and Lauren Wrey is usually there. She is on the show sometimes and is the manager at the store in Nashville.

I just spotted this thread and it's uncanny, I just drove through Nashville today as a matter of fact. I was driving from Ohio to Arkansas. I love Nashville. If I had my way, we would retire there.

I hope you have a lot of fun.
