I think it was about an astrologer.

Also she got a lot of flak in the early years about spending a lot of money on china and things like that she was acquiring for the White House, and also how much she spent on designer clothing.   So yes, there were negative articles about her.

So sorry to hear this. One of the truly classy first ladies in our nation's history, and a great example for others.

What a love she had with "her Ronnie". Great couple.

Age 94.

@gabstoomuch  I'm not a journalist, but IMO when a public figure reaches a very old age or is otherwise unhealthy, there are already-prepared obits, at least in draft form, because it's likely they will be needed in the not-too-distant future.  I would be very surprised if both the TV and print media didn't have something prepared in the event of her death.

@Plaid Pants2, what a strange comment to say over the death of someone, especially one that was a First Lady of the United States!Woman Surprised

Commentators on TV have  brought up the astrologer episode.  She did get a lot of flak for that.  The last commentator I was listening to  on TV just now defended Nancy about it, saying all her advice to Reagan was quite sane and rational and not based on what the astrologer was telling Nancy.

i thought that was eclipsed by a later First Lady who was known to "commune" with Eleanor Roosevelt.
