I still have one ... in my 70's style basement, complete with juke box, wet bar, dark paneled walls, Coca Cola lamp ... turn table, and speakers to blow the house down.  

 

We rarely use it but when the power goes out, we always have a working phone!

Those self stick units were better than sliced bread when they finally came out.
