I remember 29 cents/gallon for gas and "gas wars" with gas stations competing for the lowest price.

Black & white T.V., No cable.Just the basic 7 channels!! Here in New York the basic channels were 2,4,5,7,9,11,13!!

Guess what ? We survived just fine!!

TV and radio stations went off the air at midnight. I remember being up all night sick and there were no television shows on overnight.

Mom gave me a quarter for goodies and I came home with 25 pieces of candy in a small (so cute) brown paper bag.
