Believe it or not, there's a "periwinkle salad" (my band name). I just looked it up, and it's actually conch salad. The recipe is in The Family Reunion Cookbook, and there's also a restaurant review for periwinkle salad at an Asian restaurant near San Francisco. Who knew?
