I wonder how many places this guy has been the last few days and how many people he has been around. It seems that his fever was already pretty high and he had gastro symptoms.
He didn't bother to take his temperature either. He waited until he felt really sick and then it got to 103 degrees before he called and reported his symptoms! He also exposed his girlfriend. Wouldn't want him as my doctor.
How do you know those things?
I read it earlier online and it was being discussed on one of the news stations.
And you have no source, right?
Evidence is key, not hearsay.

They still go through the screening protocol at the airports leaving and arriving, but then they should go home and stay there for the 21 days. It's at least minimizing contacts and exposing others once the person is home. If Dr. Spencer had just gone home and stayed there for the 21 days when he was asymptomatic -- don't forget his symptoms began a week or so after he arrived home -- he would have still been at home when his symptoms appeared. He wouldn't have gone to the park, to the restaurant, on the subway system, to the bowling alley.
Amazing that a doctor wouldn't at least suspect that maybe, just maybe, he could be infected? He felt "sluggish" for days. Unbelievable. Hope the bowling alley disinfected the bowling ball and shoes he rented from them (unless he brought his own).
He had NO symptoms until this morning. He was self monitoring. You can't get ebola from bowling balls or bowling shows. You can only get by close contact with fluids of someone who had active symptoms. That's science.

Just unreal. The big question, how did he get through the airport screenings?????
Most likely because he was asymptomatic at the time.

Putting fingers in a bowling ball? If he touched his nose or mouth he could have had saliva or mucus on his fingers or under his nail beds and the next person putting their fingers into the same ball...well I wouldn't want to be that next person, would you?

He was asymptomatic at the time. Do you know what that means?

Thank you for confirming what there was a whole thread about the other day. That was the point of NOT allowing people to fly from over there. They are asymptomatic at the airport and then they come back here and are indeed INFECTED. You just proved the point you argued against a few days back.

I understand he did self-monitor by taking his temperature twice a day once he arrived home. It is also possible to have sudden onset high fever.
That is what the NY Times is reporting also. He was self-monitoring as other have done before him.

Sources are hearsay, too. Lots of sources out there reporting different stories. Depends on who you believe.
