I was just throwing that question out there because just a few days ago we had these same posters on here arguing over a travel ban and some of us made the point that they could be asymptomatic at an airport but indeed be INFECTED with the virus. Once we fly them here to the USA, they become INFECTIOUS and symptomatic.

Yes, someone here has a good idea..........staying home for 21 days. The supermarkets around here deliver groceries, etc. Pay by credit card ahead of time. The best idea yet. No money exchanged during the 21 days.

If we can't trust DOCTORS to not get on the NYC subway and go to a bowling alley and a NURSE not to hop on a plane and run to a bridal shop and look at wedding dresses after they have been exposed to infectious fluids of dead Ebola patients who in the heck can we trust to be smart about risk and infecting others? Are these people stupid or just lacking in common sense? Why would these people not care about who they infect? Ewww. This is just not acceptable.

Really, I don't understand this at all. Shouldn't these medical professionals be smart enough to quarantine themselves long enough to determine if they are infected or not? Not run around on public transportation and potentially infect others. Just really dumb and careless.

When will this lack of common sense stop??

When an infection does occur in humans, the virus can be spread in several ways to others. Ebola is spread through direct contact (through broken skin or mucous membranes in, for example, the eyes, nose, or mouth) with

• blood or body fluids (including but not limited to urine, saliva, sweat, feces, vomit, breast milk, and semen) of a person who is sick with Ebola
• My hair is not on fire, just did a bit of research from the CDC.

Again just like with Texas I know there are a lot of self proclaimed Ebola experts on this board but we are now in my backyard so unless you know this area chill. BTW, the Gutter in Williamsburg is closed today. Since the doctor was there last night as well as using Uber Taxi and also went to the Brooklyn Bowl.. DOH of NY has closed these places..so much for intimate body contact..only. Awesome start to the weekend!

I am no alarmist but one can spread the disease through sweat.

I would think you would need much more intimate contact than with a bowling bowl or bowling shoes.
