The "island" is probably Long Beach Island and its not cheap to live there. But there are plenty of places to shop as its a tourist area in NJ!!!

The "island" is Long Beach Island" (LBI) and its not a cheap place to live. You have to have bucks to live there. As for shopping there are stores as its a tourist area!!!!

LBI, Long Beach Island is a barrier island off the NJ coastline. Took a bad hit from Sandy. One of my daughters lives there.
