I live in a townhouse apartment and have a neighbor that I think is unstable. When he first moved into the units, he seemed to be very nice. He had a dog that was not trained and a little wild. He then acquired a girlfriend who had a dog. After the two got together , his dog seemed to get very aggressive and attacked my dog on three occasions. We had spoken on several occasions and I told him he needed to keep his dog on leash at all times. The last incident he told me he was going to find a new home for his dog. The next thing I new he told me he had found a new home for the dog and I would not see him again.
Two days later I see him walking the dog. I have now become fearful for my dog. I have purchased Halt to protect my dog. I shoud have called animal control but I did not want to cause problems. I have not spoke with him and avoided him at all costs.
Well, today he comes and knocks on my door. He wants to apologize for all the misunderstandings and hope we can mend fences. Then he tells me my neighbor in the next unit had bought a home and he wanted to move next door because it is a two bedroom. I told him his dog needed to be on a leash. He assured me that would happen. I also told him my dog lays on the patio and he said not too worry because his dog is crated and the other dog (poodle) does not like to go out. I know this is not true because the patio door to his apartment is always partly open when he is at work. The dogs are barking on the patio. The problem is the fence that separates the two units is not in good condition and I am afraid the dogs will come through. I am very leary of this man and know that he is not honest.
I e-mailed the Property Manager today and told her my concerns. I think this man will tell you anything just to get what he wants. I have lived here for three years and have had no problems until this man moved into the units. I know I should just move but I really love living here. I had planned to stay here for another year and then move to Colorado where my son is living.
