NEED RECS FOR GOOD COMEDY ALBUMS

My brother in law is difficult to buy for ..... and since he has a commute, last year I got him a comedy album CD to enjoy on his drive.     It was a real hit!!

So .............................    I'm thinking I'd like to find another one, and it should be funny but NOT raunchy.

What can you recommend ?

Bob Newhart did some great comedy recordings, & also Andy Griffith, if he likes "old" stuff (I do myself).  Clean, no bad language, & very funny.  Bill Cosby did some great stuff, but I wouldn't recommend anything of his now.

I immediately thought of Bob Newhart, too.  Definitely dated but funny.  The title I remember is The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart.

My dad used to play Carlin tapes while driving back in the day... we had to stop because he almost had an accident every other day from the hysterical laughter!  So I was going to recommend George, but it sounds like you're looking for something a little more tame.  Plus, we want your BIL to get where he's going safely!  Great gift idea though.

I have to agree with @AliJoi5-- I have the Class Clown Carlin album and the monologues are very funny--

*I used to be Irish Catholic, now I'm an American, you know, you grow*

*He's having trouble with his penmanship, Mrs. Carlin*

* He's trying to write with his left hand!*

Face With Tears of JoyAnd of course that album debuted Carlin's infamous "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television."  I don't want to get banned for life, so I won't be listing them here!

I bought two I the nineties. Jerry Seinfeld and Sinbad. They were funny and not raunchy. I don't know if they would hold up today but at least they would be cheap on Amazon.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

Bob Newhart, Jerry Seinfeld, and Sinbad are all great suggestions. Ellen DeGeneres is pretty funny and quite PG rated.

Seinfeld will always stand the test of time @Nancy Drew!  Good suggestion because he keeps his material clean, as you said, and is still wickedly entertaining!  Thumbs Up Sign

Any Smother's Brothers to add to the lists?
