I vote for Bob Newhart, too, and if anyone remembers the hilarious improvs by Mike Nichols and Elaine May, they are worth a search. (It was the 50s and they were just starting out.)

 

My children and I can still quote long passages from both albums. I particularly loved Bob's "Mrs. Ferguson's Storm Door and Airline" riff.

I second; Prarie Home Companion, Garrison Koeller is very clean very funny and more updated. Can't go wrong there.

As far as the Blue Collar guys go, Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall are pretty tame. 

 

Having said that, I prefer Ron White & Larry the Cable guy. Smiley Wink

@Tinkrbl44  We think Jim Gaffigan is really funny!  He and his wife collaborate on writing the material and it's generally G-Rated.  If you google his name, i see he has numerous CDs out.  Great gift idea!  Thanks!
