Re: NBC's live performance of Peter Pan scheduled for 12/4/14

Didn't the gymnist Kathy Rigby also tour with Peter Pan? I would like to see it cast with a young female rock or pop singer? Anybody have some ideas from that genre?

It cannot be any worse than the Sound of Music.

Please no Kristin Chenoweth. Her voice can shatter glass. She's also a little old for the role.

Looking forward to this. I actually liked "The Sound of Music" with Carrie, too.

So did I LyndaGee. I thought it was terrific. I'm looking forward to Peter Pan also.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Love the live performances, but I've never cared for the Peter Pan story.

Thanks for the heads up! I love Peter Pan..have loved it since I was a kid. Had the 78 LP, coloring book, stamp book, and anything else they had then. My Dad took me to the Ice Capades in Pgh. to see PPan. He reluctantly pointed out the cable and hook used in the performance. I had seen it and knew what it was for, but fantasized anyway.

If they can hide her tattoos, she'd be good.

It's amazing how much one can suspend disbelief (a woman playing a young boy, cables, etc.) if the acting is good enough. I knew Peter Pan was played by Mary Martin back in the 60s, but she was so good that I bought into her character and forgot that she wasn't near the age he was supposed to be and that she was a woman.
