As I watched the closing ceremonies for the Olympics I was thinking to myself, if only everyone in the world could get along all the time like they did for the Olympics.
I had tears tonight (and at times in the past weeks)- watching athletes having fun together, competing together, hugging each other, picking each other up after falls, shaking hands to congratulate each other. Just being plain respectful of one another.
Well I wish the world would be friends and at peace like these athletes were the past 2 weeks.
And let us not forget, peace isn't them, peace is all of us doing our share to make the world a better place each and every day by being kind and respectful to one another.
That's all.

I understand completely what you're saying and I immediately thought of the Bob Marley song "One Love".
If only.........

You can only wish.... Nobody reported about Egyptian athlete refusing to shake hands with his Israeli counterpart . And some other team from same area country(I forgot) refuse to get on the bus where Israeli team was. It was on sky news .
So do not be naive. Not everybody is ready for Koombaya .

better to dwell on and encourage the camaraderie, spirit, and goodness of the overwhelming majority than focus on the poor choices, stupidity, and weaknesses of the few.
