My pyrex 8 inch pan broke apart!

I remember some posts a while ago about this happening but it happened to me this PM. I cooked a butternut squash au gratin casserole in a 8 inch square dish. Let it cool for about 30 minutes and then covered and put in the fridge. Reheating in crock pot tomorrow. Just went to move it to put something else in there and discovered it had cracked into about 30 pieces. What a mess. Had to scrape the casserole off the shelf. DH has to go back to the store and repurchase more squash and another onion.
