My cat BooBoo is a big, heavy Maine Coon; he has an especially large and heavy south end. Well, this afternoon while I was out, my sister heard some noise in the living room and she went to check.

Well, there was my poor baby, hanging from a shelf on his condo, hanging on with his front paws and his butt swinging to and fro like a bell, and he was in a panic. Sis ran to help him get down but before she could get to him, he let go and fell to the floor. And landed with a considerable thud.

She picked him up, of course, and baby talked him and tried to comfort him. He doesn't like much to be held but he stuck to her the rest of the afternoon like a little burr. He's also been crying a lot (he really IS a big baby) and very clingy.

Poor guy, I feel so sorry for him. This doesn't happen often and I'm glad. He wasn't injured but he sure was frightened and now he's still feeling it. By tomorrow he will have forgotten it--I hope--but I'm going to keep an eye on him anyway. And of course, give him extra pettings and loves.
