Long labor, ended in a C-section. About 39 weeks, but a healthy boy.
They have named him Francis Morris after each of his grandfather's first names. (Very nice gesture.) My niece will spend several days recovering; she's been in and out of the hospital for a couple of weeks. It's time for her
MS (and probably hormones) to settle down after the pregnancy. The baby
is in the NICU so she is happy to be close to him for as long as possible.
Her husband is delighted to visit his wife and baby and is beaming with happiness and joy today!!!
My sister hasn't sent me the weight, length or other specifics about this lovely child yet. We're very, very pleased he is here, healthy and his mom made it through the last month! (huge sign of relief)

So happy both my niece and their baby are healthy and will be able to leave the hospital within a week or two. It's been a rough journey, but the road ahead will be so enjoyable for all of them.
