Why would anyone use a small picture of a kids' classroom for nefarious purposes? What do you mean? It doesn't show a child or any revealing information. Even if you just did one picture of part of the wall, I think that would be nice, especially since you've been talking about it for awhile now. Some people probably have been looking forward to the final product.

Perhaps because I will have pictures of my classroom elsewhere on the internet with personal information tied to it that some people here should never know?

There are many places where teachers post pictures of their classrooms to give other teachers some inspiratation and ideas for their own classroom.  I don't see any school district having problems with a teacher posting pictures of what her classroom decor/organization looks like.  I won't do it here because there are weird people here.

I know our school district has it's own website........they post pictures of the class rooms and the teachers.........the weeks homework, by class, is listed on it........lunch menu.........fog delays.........all kinds of stuff about the school week, month.

Bet the kids are going to really enjoy coming into class the first day and seeing what you've done...........cool welcome for the new year......................................raven

Yep, many districts do that.  Also, there are thousands of blogs by teachers with pictures of lesson plans, activities, their classrooms, etc.

right.............the kids here don't have books any more........most of the districts have gone to chrome books........so everything is done on it.......homework assignments are done on it and for all intensive purposes, emailed in to the teacher............any written stuff they need to do, they go to the web site, download it, do it and turn it in.........they still have written work to do in the class, but a good majority of their work in on the chrome book...........................................raven
