I saw this on an episode of Nigella Lawson. She soft boils and egg, cuts off the top and dips in roasted asparagus. I use a flaked sea salt from Brittany that I got a while ago and it adds a great taste and crunch that regular salt doesn't. Just thought I would recommend that because I really love it!

If you can find truffle salt, that's REALLY good with eggs too!  Especially late at night--for some reason!  LOL!!!!

I have not had truffle salt!! I will definitely have to try that because I have to say I am getting addicted to all these types of fancy salts. I started trying a bunch of different kinds about 5-7 yrs ago and they make such a difference. Can you tell me of a particular brand you use that you like?

Truffle salt is carried at Williams-Sonoma.  My daughter got it there as a surprise for me.

This is one of our all time favorite snacks or to eat anytime, especially since we adore eggs and authentic French truffle oil.

Top off any style of eggs you make with authentic French imported truffle oil.....it is unbelievably delicious.

We always have some jars on hand.

We also add this to various foods:

Home made salads, use as salad dressings with freshly minced garlic, and chopped preserved lemons, hummus, grilled vegetables, Greek eggplant dip, feta cheese, home made Meyer preserved lemons, Greek Kalamata Olives, Greek style pan prepared okra with fried onions and freshly quartered tomatoes bathed in French truffle oil,  on various meats, pork, fish, beef, and other numerous vegetable dishes, It is also great on all cuisines especially Mediterranean, Moroccan, African Ethiopian, Spanish, Italian Lebanese. Turkish. Authentic French truffle oil is extremely flavorful and intensely delicious.

Truffle Oil really makes a wonderful tasty lasting impression.

Hubby and I ate this throughout France, when we first met on tour.

All my family always loved authentic French truffle oil, as did my deceased husband, and my current husband.

My husband and I ate our way through our French country tour when we first met in France, and later  remarried.

"We both enjoyed so many things, as well as our love for authentic French truffle oil".

Authentic French truffle oil is a bit expensive, but it is so worth it for very special indulgence occasions.

It can be purchased in high end stores, various specialty stores, and it can also be ordered on line.

Just make sure it is real authentic French truffle oil, and not a fake imitation.

Just checked, it's available online.  The one I got is "Truffle and Salt" for $30.  A short squatty little jar.  It's delicious.

Thank you @Noel7! I ordered it from WS just 5 minutes ago, I have good luck with them for everything else so I thought I would give their truffle salt a try! I am excited to try it!

Yes! We have some truffle oil and use it quite often. I love truffle anything but I had never heard fo the salt. Thanks so much Adoreqvc, I know I have tried a recipe of yours that you posted a while back and I loved it but I cannot think of what it was but I do remember it was Greek!

@Noel7, yes that is just the one I bought. So excited to try it!

Re: My new favorite snack!

[ Edited ]

I can't remember what the brand was, but we got it at Williams-Sonoma.  It was on sale, and lasted a LONG time.  It was wonderful on oven baked potato spears and eggs and such.  He got another smaller jar of it, also at Williams-Sonoma, that he liked and noticed the old brand was back recently.  I forgot to get some. . . don't mention it to him, OK???  Need to put that on the list!

We also at times have ordered truffle oil and butter from Urbani--they have EXCELLENT products.  Pricy, but the stuff goes a long way.  Also, we got some truffle butter from Great Alaskan Seafood as well.
