Thank you all for the lovely comments.

Oaktag for the background, dollar store ornaments, Christmas picks from the craft store and buttons and doo dads that have been in my stash for years. I searched my garage for a suitable frame last night and came up with an old boot tray in which will mount the "tree". I know that my friend will love it as much as I loved makeing it, every time I walk past it I smile.

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive what could go right.
