Oh happy day! Yesterday I got a real, thorough (not just a trim) haircut. I have a lot of thick, heavy hair and it also grows fast. Over the last few years it's been getting longer and it's been nothing but trouble to try to keep it under control.

So, yesterday I told my stylist to take a lot of it off (we had already discussed how it should look when she got done with it) and she DID--I'd estimate one third to one half of my hair, and it's not that much shorter even with so much off. She cut it into manageable layers around my face an slightly longer in back (and NO it's NOT a mullet!). For some odd reason it looks blonder too, even though I had some lowlights put in last week.

It's so much easier to take care of and it looks so much better on me. I have kind of a wide jaw and chin so too much around that area makes me look like a pin head (remember the character "Alice" in Dilbert?). This gal has been doing my hair for a long time and always does a good job so I made sure she got an extra generous Christmas bonus this year.
