Agree with you @Annabellethecat66 about the black roots. Now they seem to be making the roots even longer - hope that makes sense. What I'm saying is it used to be just a little dark roots showing. Now sometimes it's half way down the wig if it's a short one. Many of us are using some kind of coverup powder, crayon, mascara, or something to cover up the roots on our real hair so as you said, why would we buy something that has all those dark roots showing.

For those who think wigs look fake. I own this one. This is a picture of an everyday woman who wears wigs. It has a lace top which looks exactly like your hair is growing out of your head. This one happens to be a Raquel Welch. Other wigs I consider quality wigs are Noriko, Rene of Paris, Amore, Jon Renau, Envy and Gabor. These are the brands that I know about and have held up for me. I have worn wigs for many years. If I don't tell people, they don't know
I used to sell them and I can tell you, wigs have come a very long way. I bought this one at 35% off with free S&H. I don't color my hair and I only get it trimmed 3 times a year or do it myself. I feel I actually save money on my hair. This wig cost me a total of $159.00. It will last me around 2 or 3 yrs. You have to learn how to work with them. This woman obviously knows her stuff!

@Annabellethecat66 How do you clean yours? Also I was getting my hair colored at Super cuts today and a lady came in with a wig and wanted it trimmed/cut but they would not.

Both the ladies who posted their wig pics here i have to say i thought looked very nice..............but Mary Beth today right away i could tell she had a wig on...but it reminded me of the hair on a porcelain doll.....not quite fitting right and just sorta hanging there

@GCR18wrote:Ah there's a wig show on now with Marybeth. I saw her on the clark show and thought something was different about her hair, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
becca lou wrote :I think Mary Beth seems more tired since her horrible car accident, and she commented how easy having a wig is. And she really likes the short wig and only takes her few minutes to get ready. I agree , and I like my wigs. And no one knows I have one on. So good for her, it's nice to have the help with your hair when you need it.

@Tiquewrote:@Annabellethecat66 a bit off topic here so forgive...What do you think of these wigs? They look pretty simple to care for. I've been thinking of trying one but haven't been brave enough yet.

@Annabellethecat66wrote:@Tique I like Toni Brattin wigs. But not the one's QVC was selling the other day.
I order them from her original website. They don't have black roots.
Why would I want to wear something that has black roots? Most people color their hair to get rid of the black roots.
It's hot though for me in the summer but my hair's so thin I don't like it. I am vain so I wear the wig.
The one I wear is called a 'bob' in medium blonde. It costs around $100.
I now must have maybe 8 or 9 (at least of them). I just ordered and received 2 more last week.
I just call the company and order them. Those "Hairdo" one's don't work for me. They don't sit on my head right.
I've tried them over and over and had to send them back.
I have in my car those QVC Toni Brattin wigs from when she was on to send back. They just don't fit or look as good as the one's I order from her website.
When I called and asked the phone answerer at her website they said it was a different wig and not the same as from her website.
I started ordering her wigs when she was on HSN. Those wigs didn't have black roots either. Then I tried the QVC one's (Hairdo and Toni/QVC). They just aren't the same. They just don't work for me.
I think if they'd pull them back from the face (behind the ears) for some reason they sit better against the head.
I put them on without a mirror. You'd die laughing when I go to the physical therapist or dentist. I take off the wig. My dentist laughs about it, he's used to it.
Then I put them on without a mirror and it's so easy! I just use regular shampoo and swish up and down. Then I air dry it and fluff it around.
I think they're worth every penny. I wish I knew some of you guys I'd send you one. They're all around my house. My cat saw one the other day and walked over and swatted it. So funny!
@Annabellethecat66 I'm with you, Toni's wigs are great! Funny about your cat swatting the wig, LOL!![]()
