My dog has cancer

She is now having trouble p ooping so I guess it is time.She is 17 years old but up to this point has been doing well.I am so sad...don't even know how to make the call to the vet.I wish that nature could just take its course but we have to be away for a week to attend my sons grad and I feel we need to attend to this rather than the doggie care place that we had planned for her to stay.I am happy for my son but very sad at the same time for my little doggie.Sometimes its too much.
