My cat is very ill and at the emergency vet, I need advice

My cat "Socks" has a bowel obstruction and they are talking about exploratory surgery and I won't put her through that. She just turned 10 and it's always been a rough road. She had feline hepatitus, had a couple of liver biopsys and 2 years of medication. She did great for a few years. I had to take her to the emergency vet a few months ago for continual vomiting and she got better immediately and has been fine until now. She started vomiting Saturday afternoon, I took her at 10:15 last night. They've done 2 barium tests, I visited her today, her butt is all red, she's got a needle in her paw and the vet just called and said she was sick again. I will talk to her regular vet tomorrow, my heart is breaking. I'm already feeling the pressure of the surgery and I just can't do it to her. I need to make a decision and it's tearing me up.
