Getting my Teeter inversion table delivered today! I've had a lot of back problems - a disc missing for years. Have felt pressure from my back pushing on my hips lately and a lot of "popping" of knees. So I'm so hoping this will help. Does anyone have one and is it easy to put together? I'm pretty handy in assembling things. So excited!

Not hard to assemble....takes about 30 mintues. We love ours! Got it almost three weeks ago and have used it every day twice a day.
There is a learning curve but once you establish where to set the height bar for yourself and if you want total locked conversion or not, you are good to go!
It is addicting! Instantly you are standing taller, sitting taller, and the kicks work out....actually heard mine pop!
We only do inversion for a few mintues twice a day.....your ankles can start to hurt if you hang too long. The manual recommends only a few minutes at a time anyway.
We are very happy with our purchase. Got the newest model and we paid about $400.00.
Since I have a work out history for over 30 years, I was able to do sit ups from the inverted position immediately and it is fantastic!

@motherinlaw - Thanks - I think I will hear popping everywhere. Don't know that I'll be doing the situps - they looks hard! I purchased mine from HSN because of the free shipping.

The only thing I was not happy with was the fact that I can't stay in the complete inverted position. I think it's because I don't weigh enough so it keeps on tipping back up.![]()

Good for you I believe in inversion and used "inversion boots" back in the 1980's. Had them special made as not many people even knew what I was talking about. Had a pix of them and a machinist friend of mine made them for me.
I had open back surgery to remove L-5/S-1 lumbar discs removed. Inversion gave me a lot if the spinal flexibility back I lost for a long time after the surgery. I also loved doing full inversion abdominal curls.
Meds I am on now pose too great a risk for me now or I too would have a Teeter. Too many brushes with my end to want to take any unnecessary risks with my body.
Hope it does everything you hoped for, so enjoy.

I purchased my Teeter 6-7 years ago. At that time they were very heavy so I did have a little trouble getting it together by myself. Todays units are much lighter so I am sure they will be easier to assemble. I love my unit and I do get releif when I use it. I "bounced" down 15 concrete steps at work hurting my spine top to bottom. If you get hurt at work consider getting doctors out of your area. After 7 yrs I had to go out of town, get a comp lawyer and get proper medical help. After finally getting my first MRI and CAT scans ever it was found I needed to have 4 cervical disks replaced at the base of my skull, a metal rod and fusion. My lower back injury was not as bad but will still need attention when I can not longer stand the pain. My spinal surgeon said an inversion table would help relieve the pressure on my spine. I give my Teeter credit for helping me stall off surgery on my lower back. When used frequently it helps reduce the degree of pain. I am hoping that I never have to have this surgery as it could leave me unable to walk. Healthy family members have also used it for brief periods when they have pulled muscles. One son purchased his own as he lives a distance away. It is amazing what a simple piece of equipment can do to make your life more manageable. I don't know if it will help your knees but if the Teeter helps you have better posture the pressure on your knees may be better distributed. You will receive more "bells and whistles" than I did with my unit. Enjoy and good luck.

@Karnerblue - don't think I'll have that problem (weight wise), but do think it will take me time to invert all the way.

@Gram W - OUCH! I'm glad you are doing better and even more glad to hear your Teeter has helped. I think my knee popping is because my missing disc is putting pressure on my hips and thus knees.

I was looking into getting something like this.
I have sciatica that bothers me on and off. I think it will help.
