USPS delivery issues continue. Is it the pandemic or what ?  I ordered a top from QVC, have been tracking it since the sending date of 3/16(ordered 3/12). It left Rocky Mountain NC went to Butner NC, then to KC MO arriving on 3/18. Then tracking says it arrived in St. Louis where I am on 3/20 but I never received it. Since then I contacted CS and they sent me the item which arrived 3/30 per UPS shipped on 3/26 and I thank the CS rep for handling it so quickly. It was also shipped from Rocky Mt NC. So now I looked at the tracking status for the first order and it says it went on to Cedar Rapids IA yesterday and today it's in Des Moines IA. What the heck ?

So funny you would  post this , i live about 100 miles from Des Moines , and every time i have an order thru staight USPS , it just sits there , customer service has to send another one , i want to know what they do after UPS drops it there , throw it in a building that never ships.

Exactly what happens with all my orders from Q.  That's what happens when shipped via UPS Mail Innovations. It sits somewhere for couple weeks ---or longer---before it's handed over to USPS.  I've been ordering less from Q and Amazon for this reason---very unreliable shipping carrier.  I'm choosing to shop more with companies that ship USPS Priority or straight UPS.

@Imtep "What's your dilemma? "

OP chose this word probably due to frustration? Again at least Q took care of it.

Maybe just a case of semantics; anyway that is how she chose to describe the situation.

I think the problem is the USPS Hazelwood distribution center.  I have an order now that was sent from Hazelwood to Champaign, IL!  In the past they sent a packages to Indiana and Nebraska.  I think there are major problems there

I got another update, the package apparently never came to St. Louis per the mail delivery person who checked into it for me. It sat in KC then sent on  to Cedar Rapids and on to Des Moines arriving this morning.  So Hazelwood never got it. Maybe that's the next stop at least it will be closer to me unless they send it on to California !Woman LOL

Blame DeJoy. He had a lot of critical sorting machines removed or destroyed and is currently trying to eliminate first class mail.

@On It

Those machines were for sorting mail...letters, not packages.  USPS has been losing money for years because people are using other methods...paying bills on the internet, sending less cards, faxing still used.

No reason to keep machines sitting around that aren't being used.  Same with mailboxes that have been removed every year for the same reasons.

Plans to remove the machines was decided before DeJoy got this job.

@Mz iMac We have been doing what he did successfully for many, many years now. This was the first year there was an issue.

It's not getting better.  Our mail and packages go very slowly.   The longer Dejoy is in there....the worst it's going to get.

Some of my items have seen more States than me.
