My Neighborhood is Getting a New Restaurant!

There is a restaurant across the alley from me that will be opening this spring.

This restaurant is so close to me that if I threw a rock from my back deck, I could hit it.

This restaurant used to be a Mexican food restaurant, but they closed, and the bank foreclosed, and has sat idle for three years.

Now, there are signs in the windows that this Spring, The Jerk Kitchen wlll open!

It will serve Jamacian food.

I've never had Jamacian food before, so yes, will most certainy be visiting!

All I have to do is go out my back door, exit through my back gate, cross the alley, and boom! I'm there.

I am looking forward to trying it out!

That's great and I'm sure you will love it!

While my local shopping center is a bit too far to walk, it's the closest retail space near me. It's in the process of being totally renovated with about a dozen new restaurants coming in.....really nice ones and I'm excited to try many of them!

Oh, how fun! I like Caribbean food. We have more Cuban restaurants than Jamaican in town, but there's a barbeque place that does Jerk pork ribs and chicken that are absolutely delicious. A small Jamaican food truck has Jerk chicken and pork, fried plantains, and some curry dishes.

@Anonymous032819 you will certainly enjoy it. Try the jerk Chicken or if you eat Pork, try that. Be careful with the jerk sauce.

I prefer when I can put it on myself. I love it. Tomorrow I´ll be going down to my favorite Jamaican Restaurant for my usual jerk Chicken, The best.

Hope the one next door to you will have some great cooks. Most people like to have the meat smoked in a huge, huge drum (smoker). You know that´s delicious, but some restaurants would use a grill which is nothing compared to a smoker.

I am totally envious of you. I love their meat patties, plaintains and one restaurant we go to has the best cabbage. I don't know what is done differently, but I could eat it everyday! Enjoy!!
