@Imaoldhippie   You have to really love it to do it.  Farmer, part vet, part metorologist, mechanic, etc.

@Sooner  Shock of shocks, I have driven a tractor.  Not a huge one but a tractor none the less.  My Mother could not believe that I did that along with throwing bales and feeding the neighbors calves.

Both my parents loved visiting here. They spent many a weekend with us. They loved the quiet although it took a while for them to adjust to walking outside and find a few cows staring at them from the field next door.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 That's wonderful!  Isn't that fun?  We had a super sweet bull once (well, NOT to other bulls) but when I was really little my dad would feed him first and put me up on his back to sit while he put the rest of the feed out!  Funny you mentioned it but yes cows can stare for sure!!!  LOL!!!  AND kick!

@Sooner  DH and I were going through neighbors field (w/his permission) looking for our goofy dog. He liked going to visit the cows. It was dark and we had flashlights.

Did you know cows lay down?  I didn't. I turned to say something to DH and next thing I am draped over the back of a cow. She kind of slowly turned her head and I swear she said "Idiot". At least her look said it. DH was bent over laughing.

Hey, it was dark and she was mostly black. I was used to looking down for cows. It is amazing I survived country life.
