Imogene and Black Bear Passes are both in the San Juans Red Mountain area. They are just located in different valleys not too far from each other. I believe one goes between Ouray and Silverton and the other road goes from Ouray and Telluride.

Thanks @SilleeMee. I’ll pass on the side steps, don’t want to limit the experience.

@qvcfreak

There are retractable style side-steps and those are a custom accessory. You might want to ask about them. They are powered electrical and costly.

Thanks @hckynutjohn. I will look into getting sidesteps put on, at 4’11” I really need them. But I’m loving it.

Sounds like a good idea which should make getting in a lot easier for you.

Our SUV came with the built in full length running boards. Sometimes I use it, sometimes I don't. It's height is kinda in the middle for me. Think for me it would be better without it. I could get closer to the body and it would be easier for me to just step into it. My wife with her Knee Replacement, she needs them, and the interior grab handle helps her too.

Enjoy that beauty and drive defensively, lots of maniacs on those roads nowadays. Everyone seems to be in a hurry for some reason.

@qvcfreak  Enjoy your Jeep. The color is very pretty.

        My 16 year old grandson got his license last week and he has been wanting a Jeep Cherokee. He is getting his white Jeep next week. He is so excited. Of course we are all a little nervous

about him driving on the highway, with the crazy way people have been driving around here. He said that he plans to mostly drive on the back roads and he is a safe driver. We all hope that he stays safe.

Congrats on your  new vehicle!!   She's a beaut!

I've been a Jeep girl since 1990.  My first one was a 1990 Cherokee (black).  My second one was a 1994 Grand Cherokee.  My current vehicle is a 1997 Grand Cherokee that I also bought new.

I have loved these vehicles!  Granted, my current one is 24 years old but I've only put a little over 50,000 miles on it and it's still in perfect condition.

What I always liked about the Jeeps, well one thing, is that they never looked like all the rest of the vehicles out there.  What is a drag is that the Grand Cherokees now just look like all the rest of the SUVs.   That's sad, IMO, as I like to have some level of uniqueness.

But I do love my Jeep and I hope you love yours!  Smiley Happy

So happy for your grandson. I didn’t get my first vehicle until I was 18 so I remember the excitement.  Prayers of protection always for him.

I go back and forth between Dodge and Jeep. I’ve had the Cherokee and the Commander. Loved both.
