I prepared nectar and hung the feeder yesterday in anticipation of my resident hummers arriving soon and was surprised to see one feeding at it just a few minutes ago. I so enjoy watching them.

Lucky you, Marp2. We love watching them too, although DH is in charge of feeding them. He just got some new feeders, I think the name is "Humzinger" or something like that.

i hope mine will be arriving soon,too!!! i am going to hang the feeder out today. i had sooo many last year and i can't wait to see how many show up this time! i moved the feeder in front of the kitchen window so that we could watch them without anyone/anything bothering them.

I'm envious. I'm in Atlanta also and we never get any till August and then, just one or two.

We had a scout a couple of weeks ago (TN) and set two feeders out. May get the others cleaned up this weekend and go ahead an set them out. We put 8 to 10 feeders all around the house. Love our little hummers.

It's about time for mine, so I plan to get at least one feeder up today. Everything seems a little off after our awful winter, so we'll see what happens! (Northern NJ)

I was buzzed a couple of weeks ago. No feeders, the other birds were taking them over, but they are feeding off a couple of flowering bushes.

I haven't seen any hummers yet; however, they have been spotted in the southern part of our state. So, I'm getting my feeders out by Monday or Tuesday, assuming they'll be here soon. I can't wait!
