My High School Reunion 9/20/2024

I graduated from High School in 1968 and never attended a high school class reunion but for the  first time ever I went to my all high school class reunion tonight. It was very nice and I met former students from earlier years and years after me but didn't meet anyone from my class ! Not one former classmate so I was a little disappointed.  We were given a tour of the high school and wow there has been alot of building updates and new construction. I was lost and only recognized one specific area that was still part of the building. I actually debated about going but glad I decided to go.  Anyone else with a class reunion coming up or already had a reunion lately? How was it?

@Goodie2shoes  Omg, you are so brave ... good for you for going.

I graduated in 1970, still in the same city after all these years but never have been to a hs reunion - hated high school, I always felt bullied/not wanted by my classmates & just didn't want to see them again.

I graduated in 1972 and have attended all my class reunions. Small town of about 5000. We pretty much went from Kindergarten all the way through 12th together.

At our 45th, we got to tour our high school...but our HS is now the Junior High and our old JH is now the HS. They've added to the "new" HS. We got to tour both.

@Goodie2shoes

My high school (in a distant city) has been defunct for years...but I got an email from a former classmate, who also now lives near where I do.

We met for lunch.     Same old thing.  She was from the "upper crust" and I am a "peon".    You can guess how the lunch went.     di

I'm glad that you're happy you went even though none of your classmates were there. What was the size of your graduating class? I have never been to one. I've never really wanted to until the last three or four years but with two knee replacements, to family deaths and heart surgery, I just haven't felt up to it. It seems like maybe between my two knee surgeries I mentioned to my husband I'd like to go but he didn't want to and I didn't want to go without him. I think we had 50 and I graduating class.

I went to a high school reunion and made a date to reunite with neighbourhood kids I grew up with in a town of ~5,000.  We met at my air bnb for drinks and had dinner and attended a summer festival.  It was a great occasion.  I graduated in 1973.

I graduated in 1970 and have never gone to a reunion. Like some others, never really fit in, so no reason to go back.

I graduted in 1972. Never went to any class reunions. Hated the cliques back then and I chose never to see any of those people again.

Same.  Graduated in 1980.  I've only kept in touch with one classmate, and we actually dated as adults.  lol
