My Heart is Breaking -- Final Update

I am writing with tears flowing down my cheeks, a very heavy heart, pain in my heart, my dear sweet beautiful Mom passed away at 5:15 a.m. this morning. As much as I tried to prepare, as much as I tried to be ready, I felt as though a truck had run me over when I received the phone call at 7:00 a.m. this morning. I saw Mom every day since she was placed on 24 hour crisis care with Hospice. She was really bad on Saturday, moaning with pain, hard to breathe, etc. Yesterday, she gave me a little smile as I held her hand and repeatedly told her how much I loved her.

My fiance and I arrived at the nursing home at 8:00 a.m. and I held my Mom and cried. A nun came in and prayed with us. From there, we went to the funeral home and gave all information, chose casket, flowers, prayer cards, etc. Tomorrow morning at 8:30 we have an appt. with the priest to go over funeral mass details.

The viewing will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening and the funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning with burial at 12:45.

I do not know how I am going to go through all of this.

You all have been so very kind to me with your words, encouragement, prayers, etc. I just wanted to let everyone know.
