AuntG - I spoke with the vet and she suspects there might be a bit of what is called "absent dementia." I think she may be right. A few times over the past 3 or so months, I've called her to go out or tell her its meal time and she just sits there and there's a blank look in her eye. Doesn't move a muscle.

Ordinarily, she jumps, wags her tail and puts on her happy face when I talk to her regardless of what is said.

LOL....my other dogs don't do this ~ it must be a Yorkie thing! I also have a Maltese and a Shih Tzu. Sometimes we look at each other at the same time, but they don't STARE like she does. It's cute, I think.........her eyes look like 2 big brown marbles.

My dad had a Yorkie who did the staring thing and the vet said that it is indeed a Yorkie thing. I didn't believe it when my dad talked about her doing it....then I saw it and was stunned, beyond words, which seldom happens with me.

I'm no longer a Doubting Chick.

My dad's Yorkie is 5 years old.

One of my Maine Coon kitties winks at me too. He's done that since he was a tiny kitten. It's so cute and he does it to other people too and they think it's hysterical!
