The longer I live, the more I think that this "their day" stuff is a lot of horse hockey. The thing that REALLY makes the world go 'round is the love of your family, and once that's lost or ignored or damaged, there really isn't much left. My mother, who was a tiny steamroller, kicked OUR plans into a cocked hat, amd the result was ten thousand times better than it would have been if our plan had been carried out. Our wedding was WONDERFUL, largely because there was a slew of wondeful family there. Now, they're almost all dead, amd the few remaining me,bers barely speak to each other. Sad business.
