Happened to me a few weeks ago on my old desktop, I restarted and it came back on perfectly normal.

When @Goodie2shoes   said her computer screen, I thought it was a desk top. Anyway, that happened to my desktop monitor and I had to get a new monitor.

Hope your laptop can be saved.

@ bikerbabe :  no still not working, green letters and pink stripes down the screen with a white background. It's hard to see letters on the screen making it hard to read posts. Very very frustrating so I might have a new Laptop tomorrow morning !!

If you're using a pc, did you try the latest restore point?

Well nothing has worked to fix the screen so I am getting a new laptop tomorrow. The letters are still light green, pink stripes  down the screen and my pointer arrow is white and hard to fine on the screen. It's hard to read the screen and very frustrating.
