My Chihuahua had xrays today...

He had been listless for several days and would whimper here and there. Today the vet did xrays and found he has a herniated disc. Vet said it would probably heal on its own with careful care for a few weeks. In the meantime, the dog will get some pain pills. We were so worried. I hope he will heal well. It's evidently inherited. Anyone had experience with this?
