Re: My Bethlehem lights tree

Our pre-lit tree (I think it was a Martha Stewart, now sure) only lasted one year, and we re-strung new lights.

This year it looked such a mess we decided to remove all the pre-lit strands ... it was a comedy of errors ... it is only 3 years old, but none of the pre-lits worked. It's not even a big tree ... I think it's 7ft.  Took us over 3 hours to cut all this off ... they way it was wound so tightly around the branches, and branches "shooting" through the strands of lights - no wonder they can't be stored, or moved ...

The tree looked so much better after we removed all the pre-lit strands, and "fluffed" it up.

I love the concept, but I'll never buy another pre-lit tree ...

Re: My Bethlehem lights tree

@Jill2dot0, I removed the lights myself, 4 1/2 hours later. And a lot of us here are with you, no longer buying pre-lit anything. Not worth it, they are so expensive and don’t last. I’m glad I took the task though, I love the tree and now I will have it for many years.
