Thank you for mentioning this. I'm really tired of shopping at my chain grocery store and all those plastic bags. I do appreciate the ease of picking up an order there, but delivery works too!   How do you do this, through Amazon's website?

@Another new name Sue  when you go to the Amazon site, in the search bar on the left, you can choose what "department" you want to shop.  In the drop-down menu choose Amazon Fresh.  Then I just start entering in the search whatever it is I need and all the products come up.

@Another new name Sue @Yes, you order through Amazon's website. Amazon's site has two places to get fresh groceries, Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods. You will need to register for Amazon and put in your address and payment information. You can then begin to order from Fresh. Look at the Amazon Home Page screen for the Word Fresh at the top left corner of the screen and press on it. A small drop down menu will appear.  It will say order groceries. Then you begin putting items they sell from Fresh into your cart. You can choose a delivery time, which has a two hour window. You can specify contact free delivery and where you want the order placed. The Fresh store might not have every brand you are familiar with or looking for. I have also never ordered meat. Yesterday was my first order delivered to me. My prior orders were delivered to relatives. For example, my aunt and cousins needed items they couldn't afford, so I had Ensure Plus, Tide Pods, fresh fruit, Starkist Tuna pouches and toilet paper delivered to them. Delivery times includes nights, so if you want an 8-10 PM delivery, you can get it. Know that there are other foods available on Amazon that are not part of Fresh or Whole Foods and Amazon just discontinued a third place to buy shelf stable goods from them. This was called Pantry. Pantry items are now ordered through Fresh or Whole Foods.

I strongly suggest you join Amazon Prime. Prime gives you free deliveries across the whole website, not just food, for items that say Prime eligible on their descriptions. One day and two day deliveries. Free Amazon Video, which has some great content. Free Amazon Music. They take EBT (food stamps) for those with financial strugggles and as far as I know are the only ones delivering food for this group. I love needing just one thing, for example, band aids, and not having to run to the store. It gets delivered the next day. This one item delivery would be from Amazon Prime orders and not from Amazon Fresh because Fresh has a $35 minimum order.

The only problem is, if you dont live in or near a super large metro area, the service is not available.  The website will tell you immediately to back off.

I am happy that you had such a good shopping experience.  I order for Amazon Fresh, Primenow, a local store.  Occasionally Instacart when I only buy a few things.  Honestly, none of them have ever disppointed me.  I did have some issues with Instacart the first few times but that was my fault.  I wasn't using the app correctly.

I tried Inst cart but the pricing is much higher than the stores.. I would shop with them at Bjs and each item could be more than three dollars and up.. So I switched to Amazon Fresh.. the only thing is they are becoming more popular ..If I go to place an order its now two days out.. and lately I have had to pick a one hour or two hour delivery for whatever day.. and it cost me 4.99 or 9.99 and I  don't understand that since I am an Amazon Prime member.. but you are correct their customer service people are great and make sure you get what you ask for or they will ask if you want a credit or have another order put in at no cost on items messed up.. I stick mostly with them now. they have been great to work with .

@Chatyone 2, I have never paid shipping for a two-hour delivery.

Re: My Amazon Fresh order was so easy.

Before anyone runs to join, I suggest you confirm that it’s available for your ZIP Code. Amazon Fresh pulled out of my area years ago. I wish it was still here because I liked their service.
