I decided to go grocery shopping at Grocery Outlet, because they always have good deals going on.
For example, buy one Rocky Mountain brand pie, get another one free.
With coupon, spend $30 and get $12 off of a Jenny-O turkey, which were selling for $19.99, and were 14 pounds.
So I ended up getting a turkey for $7.99!
A 36 ounce jar of Miracle Whip is selling for $1.49.
They had plenty of toilet paper, no limit, but I only picked up one (1) 12 roll pack for $5.99.
When it came time to check out, I was almost completely rung up, when I couldn't find my wallet!
I ran to my car to see if it was there, nope, it wasn't.
I went back inside to see if it might have fallen out there.
I stuck my hand in my pocket, and there it was.
I swear that I had checked all of my pockets, and couldn't find it.
So, groceries paid for, I started to walk away, and I was concentrating on my receipt, when I was called back because I had forgotten a bag of groceries, my gallon of milk, and my turkey.
Then when I got home, my parking spot was occupied.
A small, miniscule thing, sure.
I have on street parking, and I like to park right in front of my house, not only because it's close, but I can see my car from my bedroom window and living room window.
But, it's first come, first get.
I wasn't there, it was available, so someone else took it.
I 100% understand that, just a little bummed is all. But in the grand scheme of things, it isn't even a blip on the radar of bad things. If that's all I have to complain about, then I am very fortunate. A lot of other people have way more important things to actually complain about, than not getting their favorite parking spot.
So I ended up parking about half a block away, and schlepping my bags of groceries to my front door.
So, with tax, I bought 58 items for $142.67, which comes out to about $2.46 per item.
At the bottom of the receipt it shows you how much you have saved, and it says that I saved $151.64.
That's a hair over 50% savings.

Sometimes, it's the little things added up that get to us, though. Not any particularly important, but nonetheless annoying.
