Personally, I think she's a pig and her "husband" is mentally ill. I feel very sorry for her son Dillon (I think). She told the doctor that she used her "position" as a mother in order for him to bring her the food she wanted. So, does that mean Penny used her "position" as a wife in order for that jerk of a husband to run around with her coupons? Surely, she wasn't with-holding seks from him???? Oh G-d...... ${#emotions_dlg.w00t}$

I think there are two different women. Pennys husband runs around and gets coupons for various food. She refuses to get out of bed and to be weighed. pauline is the one who has a teenage son who is like her caregiver. Both women are not following doctors orders.

You are correct.

Pauline and Penny both, are very pushy and not likeable.

I loved the way Pauline (in the hospital) didn't want to get weighed because "I'm not dressed" and Dr. Now said "this is not a fashion show"..... I think he's funny. He's wise to their tricks.

Pauline expected a quick fix. Im surprised the doctor took her as a patient when she was supposed to lose 50 lbs and she gained seven lbs.

He said she was in very bad shape and if she didn't have the surgery, she probably would die very soon. Didn't he put her in the hospital so he could monitor her? Did she gain weight while she was there? I don't remember......

What I don't get, is where are these people getting the money to move to Houston and notice they always have different cars - the car they have before they move and then a big SUV while they're travelling. I guess those are rentals. The apartments they move into, are always in the same complex. I guess they are reserved for the patients??? Then, when they are ready to go home, their homes (wherever they live) are still there waiting for them????

I only watched some episodes quite a while ago. I admire those who are sincere in their desire to improve. I am totally grossed out by those who want to wallow in their own sickness. I completely don't understand such a disrespect for their own bodies.
